A tasty cranberry sauce that is safe for people on the keto diet and great for the holidays or any other time. Instead of refined sugar, erythritol or monk fruit sweetener is used to sweeten it. This makes it low in carbs and good for a ketogenic diet.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup powdered erythritol or monk fruit sweetener
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp grated orange zest
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Rinse the cranberries and discard any stems or blemished berries
In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sweetener, water, orange zest, and cinnamon
Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer
Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens
Remove from heat and let it cool before serving
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week
