Caramelized Onion and Blue Cheese Dip - West Coast Kitchen Garden



The sweet caramelized onions and sour blue cheese in this creamy and flavorful dip work perfectly together to make a perfect blend of tastes. This dip goes well with a lot of different things, like chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat

Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring every now and then, for about 20 to 25 minutes, until the onions turn caramelized

Put sour cream, mayonnaise, and blue cheese crumbles in a bowl and mix them together

The browned onions and balsamic vinegar should be added and mixed in

Add pepper and salt to taste

Put it in the fridge for at least an hour before serving so the flavors can mix

Serve with chips or vegetable sticks of your choice
