These pears with honey roasting is a tasty and nutritious Paleo dessert. A delightful treat is created when the natural sweetness of ripe pears is combined with the rich flavor of honey and the warmth of cinnamon.
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C
In a small bowl, mix together honey, melted coconut oil, ground cinnamon, and sea salt
Place the pear halves in a baking dish, cut side up
Brush the honey mixture over the pear halves, ensuring they are evenly coated
Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top of each pear half
Roast the pears in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until they are tender and slightly caramelized
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving
Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired
