Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh spinach
- 1/4 cup chopped Kalamata olives
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Tzatziki sauce for serving
- Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish
Instructions:
Ground turkey, crumbled feta cheese, chopped red onion, minced garlic, chopped fresh spinach, chopped Kalamata olives, dried oregano, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl
To keep the burgers tender, don't overmix the ingredients
Just mix them until they are well mixed
Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty
Set a grill or pan on the stove to medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface you will be cooking on
They should be cooked on the grill for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they are done all the way through and have nice grill marks
For a minute or two, toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill until they get a little brown
Put a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on the bottom bun of each burger
Then add the cooked turkey patty and a dollop of tzatziki sauce on top
After you put the top bun on top, your Greek Turkey Burger is ready to be served
Enjoy your tasty and good-for-you burger!
